As is Lamborghini’s tradition, the Huracan is named after a famous Spanish fighting bull that met its end in 1879. They may have trawled through history to find a name, but don’t worry, the Lamborghini Huracan is packed with 21st century technology. Power is transferred to the track through a 7-speed LDF dual-clutch transmission and an electronically-controlled four-wheel-drive system, this new four wheel drive system runs with 70% of the power going through the rear wheels in normal driving conditions, however if the on board computers sense any loss of grip at the front end it can transfer the full 100% to the rear.

The Lamborghini Huracan also benefits from an LPI system that put simply is a collection of gyroscopes and accelerometers that are placed at the centre of gravity, these clever bits of kit tell the steering, gearbox and chassis exactly what the car is doing and prime it accordingly to avoid driver error. This technology is certainly needed when you look at the performance figures, launched from a standing start, 60 mph is achieved in under 3.2 seconds and the Huracan has a top speed of over 200 mph.

“You can corner at sensational speeds… The grip is astonishing!”
