Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4
The Lamborghini Huracan is an all new supercar built from the ground up. With a brand new hybrid aluminum / carbon fibre chassis and an outer skin made from aluminum and composite material, the Huracan is extremely light, boasting a dry kerbweight of a measly 1,422 kg. So when you combine that with a 5.2 litre, 40 valve V10 it’s no wonder it produces performance figures to die for. Nought to sixty two miles per hour arrives in a paltry 3.2 seconds and if you’re brave enough to keep your foot to the floor the Huracan will eventually top out at over 200 mph.
Named after a famous Spanish fighting bull, the Huracan transfers its power to the tarmac via a 7-speed LDF dual-clutch transmission and an electronically-controlled four-wheel-drive system that sends 70 percent of the grunt to the rear in normal operation, but if it senses any slip at the front it can divert up to 100 per cent to the rear. Combine that with gyroscopes and accelerometers that continually monitor and adjust grip accordingly and it’s clear to see why Richard Hammond thinks the only way to get the best out of this stunning car is on the race track.

When they arrive at their chosen circuit, the Lamborghini Huracan driving experience begins with all drivers being taken through a quick registration process, that is swiftly followed with one of the Racing Schools qualified ARDS instructors going through any safety and technical issues drivers may have once on the circuit, they will also explain the driving etiquette and what is required of the drivers whilst out on the track.
Following the briefing the instructor will take the wheel and demonstrate the racing lines, correct car positioning and the braking points of the chosen track, these laps are crucial as they give the drivers the opportunity to get themselves acquainted with the overall layout of the Circuit. With the demonstration laps complete, the instructor will then return to the pits so the drivers can put into practice what they have learnt as the instructor now takes to the passenger seat and the driver takes to the track for six miles in the Lamborghini Huracan.
